Private Sail Lessons
One of the most beautiful and exciting activities for your children are our sailing courses. They will learn to sail small sailing boats as well as other useful information regarding the art of sailing, the sea and the winds, all under the guidance of certified and qualified instructors. Prerequisite to participating in this activity is to know how to swim. When leaving the island the children will have pleasant and fun memories for a lifetime.
Learn and charter a boat with the skipper Makis Vasilakis, a state licensed offshore sailing instructor willing to share his knowledge with his guests.

SAILING COURSES & TRAINING:
1. Acquaintance with sailing: This is a 5 days course, where you get to know what sailing is about. It can be done in two groups. It requires a minimum of 6 persons, maximum 9 persons for each group. The following program is an indicative one and can be adjusted for time and dates.

Boat safety. Equipment – man overboard procedures – at-sea emergencies – broken mast. fire – hull penetration – running aground – abandon ship – life raft procedures. Emergency signals.

During the practical program sessions the following subjects will be covered:
-Getting familiar with the Boat. Terminology. Instrumentation. Safety gear.
-Marlinespike seamanship (knots…etc.)
-Sails handling (hosting – changing – reefing – stowage, etc.)
-Mooring. Helm practice. Steering by compass.
