Our cooking lessons invite you to experience the social value of meals while learning to combine the unique ingredients of the world’s healthiest diet into recipes that date back in ancient gastronomic history.
The course is designed in a way that gives you enough time to learn, enjoy, taste, relax and have fun in the unique Cretan way. Our philosophy is simple. The goal of preparing meals, in the Cretan culture is twofold. You feed like friends and family while socializing and sharing tastes and stories. Meals gather people together (parea). Everyone contributes to the preparation and the elders (more experienced) teach the younger (novices) the secrets of life and recipes, thus preserving the Cretan culinary tradition.
The course price includes: written recipes, note taking material, cost of the ingredients, chef’s time, glass of wine, tsikoudia and a bottle of mineral water.
We make sure to use products from the Cretan land that you can also find in your country, this way you learn how to use the ingredients to create authentic Cretan dishes. Allowing you to take back home the flavour and recreate the memories.
